Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026.
We collect only what you send us through a form on this site, use it only to answer you, and never sell it. There are no cookies, analytics or trackers on ridable.com.
1. Who we are
The controller of personal data collected on ridable.com is Ridable Oy, Maria 01, Lapinlahdenkatu 16, 00180 Helsinki, Finland.
Contact for anything about your data: Hanni Tyry, CEO and Co-founder, hanni@ridable.fi, +358 50 382 3433.
2. What we collect and why
| Where | What we collect | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-order form | Name, email, phone (optional), organisation (optional), type of customer, country, number of units, timing, preferred model, what you would use it for | To handle your pre-order, contact you about it and plan production | Steps you ask us to take before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Slush FastPass | Name, email, Slush day, company or role (optional), the sticker you pick, whether you want the waitlist. We add a pass number and a QR code. | To issue your pass, email it to you, check it at the stand, keep to 20 passes a day, run the waitlist and send the launch news you agreed to | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Investor deck request | Name, email, fund or company, typical ticket (optional), message (optional) | To send you the deck and follow up about the seed round | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in answering investors (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Email or phone | Whatever you choose to tell us | To answer you | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Visiting the site | Your IP address, browser details and the pages requested, in our hosting provider's server logs | To deliver the site and keep it secure | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
Each form says which fields are required. If you leave a required field empty we cannot process that request; nothing else depends on it.
Whoever holds your FastPass QR code can open its check page, which shows your pass number, name and company. It is meant for our staff at the stand, so only share it with them.
3. What we don't do
- No cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- No social media plugins or embedded third-party content. Fonts and images are served from ridable.com itself.
- We don't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- No automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Settings stored in your browser
If you switch on Unicorn mode, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage (ridable:unicorn). It stays on your device, we never receive it, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings. Dress the unicorn runs entirely in your browser: your image is not uploaded anywhere.
5. Who processes the data for us
We use a few service providers that process personal data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements:
- Vercel: hosts the site and runs the forms, with servers in Stockholm, Sweden.
- Resend: sends the emails the forms trigger, from its EU region.
- Upstash: stores FastPass registrations in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Google Workspace: our email, where form submissions arrive.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data may leave the EU or EEA, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Pre-orders: for as long as your pre-order or customer relationship lasts, and at most three years after our last contact, unless accounting law requires longer.
- FastPass: deleted by the end of February 2027. If you agreed to launch news, we keep your name and email for that until you ask us to stop.
- Investor requests: at most three years after our last contact.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, normally days.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or hand it over in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; that does not affect anything done before.
Email hanni@ridable.fi. We answer within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
8. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to form submissions is limited to the Ridable team, and FastPass check links are signed so they cannot be guessed.
9. Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top.
